1971 Mustang Mach 1, M code, 4 speed.
A question for the driveline guru's.

When I got my 351M code 4 speed in 08, I was told that the clutch had been replaced. However it slipped on heavy acceleration, so I changed it for a Ceterforce II which was extremely heavy until I modded the peddle shaft bearings :D

So the question is; can anybody identify the brand I have? The clutch is not worn and saleable for maybe a 2V engine, not a 4V.

The only marking on it are LCO 465 & 1E 18 05:22 plus what appears to be a date code. It does have USA on it as well. It is an 11"- 10 spline and is unpainted.

Get your thinking caps on guys!

Geoff.

Sachs would be my guess but  LUK is another brand I have seen recently that is being sold as a store brand.  Paintit orange and double the price ;)
Thank you as well Jeff. I'd never seen a clutch like this with less fingers in it than say a Centerforce. It can't have the holding power of one with more fingers, (springs).
