image.jpegSorry for posting another shot of the floor but now that I'm done I thought I'd let everyone know that it took exactly 32 sqft. To do from the top of the toe board to the back of the rear seats. That works out to 8 sheets of the 10 that came in the box. I bought 2 boxes because I am also doing the floor of the trunk and wheel tubs and the roof before I put in the new headliner. If I calculated correctly it will take approximately 5 sheets for the roof and 6 to do what I want in the trunk so I may be left with one sheet just in case. Hope that helps anyone looking to install the same. Just the floors took me 4 hrs by the way.

image.jpegonly other thing I thought I should mention is one box of 10 sheets weighs 25 lbs. So in my case I'm looking at about 47 extra pounds. You'll have to determine if the pros outweigh the cons. In my case I could cut back on the burgers or add more power. I really like my burgers.

image.jpegHi guys. Been busy with life. Drove the 4hrs round trip to the US and back to bring home the goodies. These QA1 coil overs are going in tomorrow morning. Nice set up. Found a gentleman who made the adaptor kit for these to be bolt on so its very simple. Show you the ride height tomorrow once their in.

image.jpeg You can see that the pivot shaft gets removed along with the rubber sleeve and it gets replaced with the swivel collar. Once it's pressed into place the billet piece, ( that replaces the spring saddle on the upper A-arm) slides into place with the large bolt going through it. Fantastic adaption to make an affordable coil over set up for the 71-73 stangs.

image.jpegJust finished. I like the stance. It's what I was after. I especially like the adjustable ball joint ends because even at this low stance the tires don't toe in at the top. Nice and straight up and down.

Beautiful day. Only 3:30. Going home now to play with the kids.

image.jpegWith the taller than stock tire sizes I'm still 49.5" to the roof. The rocker behind the front tire is 8" off the ground and in front of the back tire is 9" off the ground. Car looks very low but I shouldn't be scrapping anything. Best of both worlds.

image.jpegTalking about best of both worlds, I also picked up my Xforce exhaust over the boarder. The local contact fell through but I found a great place in the US. Price was very fair. It will be a while before these bad boys are in but I will be happy to fire them up in my shop (On a Sunday when all the other shops are closed ) and post a vid of "quiet and crazy".

Those QA1s are really great! Put them on mine and Koni Klassics in the rear.....Set those QA1s on the stiffest @ 12 level.

Sounds good.

Thx.

Looks great with the stance buddy! Damn if just I was this far with my own!! How much was possible to lower the front with that setup? And how much was the rearend lowered? :)
Hard to say with the rear. I'd say about 3" from stock. With the front I can tell you that the edge of the fender flare is 24" off the ground. So that brought the nose of the hood 27" off the ground. Is that around 3 or 4" from stock? There is a forward rake. Overall probably 2" back to front.

I had set the coil over all the way to the bottom to start like they suggested but when I lowered the car off the hoist and bounced it for a while it didn't need any further adjustment in height. Nice and low and tired don't touch at full steering lock. Plus I have installed the 1" control arm drop if you recall. So it's not clear to me just how many inches but if you measure the top of the fender flare down to the floor you can get an idea.

image.jpegI know it seems I'm getting ahead of myself when at this stage I'm spending any time considering how I want the paint scheme/ stripes to go....

image.jpeg... but my brain only works this way...

image.png....if I don't get the final look in my mind out there I find it difficult to move forward. I need to be satisfied about my direction so I can constantly get re-inspired to take on the next big challenge. Based on the above pics I've come up with my vision for the decals so I can see if the hood gets left body colour or black outs. I've seen NASA hoods left body colour and I like it. I've seen the car without the rocker blacked out and I'm on the fence. No hockey stick on the side and I'm on the fence. The car has to be "Mustang" at a glance but this one also has to be different so this is the general direction I've chosen. It will need modding of course but this is the idea.....

image.jpegI figure the bottom line needs to be thinned out a bit more and it could be an inch or two longer or shorter but over all, it can carry itself so that the hood can be free of blackouts. Possibly just small " RAM AIR " call outs in the stock location and that's it.

image.jpegI hope I haven't upset the purists too much. Lol. The side scoop really lends itself to this style I find. Blacked out grill and chin spoiler and less s more yada yada. Your feedback is appreciated.
