Everything you make suits my taste, really! I like every little detail that you are doing to that car and I like when we are talking and discussing what and what not to do! But thanks!

It looks great after the weldings, I actually thought in the first place that you wanted to shave them completely, but that are actually pretty nice what you have done to them. I like that idea buddy! :)

I like the small detail to remain. I just didn't like how bulky the drip rail was and the fact that it was so much higher than the windshield mouldings. Doesn't make sense for them not to line up better

Wow that Looks so good after the welding [emoji41][emoji106] That is a good idea to welding it. This makes it a lot more strong, which they didn't think of bag then. Our old cars are not so strong as New Cars are. So your work is so awesome [emoji12][emoji41][emoji106] Regards Lars

image.jpegNot done with the drip rails yet. The more I look at the whole opening, the more I want to modify the shape. With the tape you can see how I want to add in sheet metal to visually thicken the roof structure and reshape the rear quarter glass smaller. It will work out to be very clean by eliminating all of the moulding that surrounds the glass. I will also black out the post that divides the two pieces of glass. That with a medium tint applied to all the glass should be pretty cool. Until the car is painted the mods won't stop. Lol.

image.jpegI just have to decide if I leave the 1/4" drip rail and then add the additional shape or if I cut the rail off completely before I add the metal work.

That is really nice buddy, it's the exactly same thing that I want to do with mine! How will you support the roof if you cut the drip rails completely down with out opening the roof to make some support inside the roof? :) I has allways dreamed about shaved drip rails, it gives the car the baddest and most clean look!

Danny just left my shop. We thought it would look best if the trimmed back drip rail stays. It will be a neat detail that the additional metal will be welded too. It will be a piece that will have about 120 degree angle to it that will weld along the drip rail and tuck in right above the rubber. It will be covering the metal channel that holds the rubber.

image.jpegA quick cardboard cutaway example but you know what I mean. It really would be a great addition to how you've finished your rear glass. I'm sure you don't have to keep any of the drip rail lip if you didn't want it.

image.jpegJust found this image on line. On this 66 Fastback You can see that a small ridge line detail was left where it still acts like a drip rail. Subtle and I'd prefer it over completely gone. I think it will work well in my application.

At the door it will probably be a square cut just above the door. At the top back it will taper and blend I think.

image.jpegSeam sealed and painted. I will let it cure up for a week and then finish it with the sound deadening mat. I have a friend that got me a great deal on "BUZZMAT". I will be doing the same in the trunk. It will add 40 lbs to the car but well worth the sound and heat resistant comfort I think. A few strips on the inner door skins also has a great effect.

The aluminum channel that holds the rubber stays. It will all remain stock just not visible.

image.jpegI got half the floor done. Little bit of work but the benefits will be worth it.
