Will 16” 2004 40th anniversary mustang wheels work?

I have an opportunity to pick up a set of 2004 40th annfversary five spoke Mustang wheels 16 inch 30 mm offset and I believe a 5.5 inch backspacing, the wheels are 7 1/2 inches wide. Will these fit without adapters on a 73 vert And have enough clearance both front and back?

They will bolt on, but will be to far inward without spacers. Even if they clear, it will change your handling and steering due to the much narrower track width.
Tires would be around 225/50/16.

What are the thoughts about spacers? I’ve never used them,

I use adapters to add newer wheels. Not a fan of spacers (just a disc with holes that require longer lugs) but good quality adapters (they bolt onto the lugs and have their own lugs coming out for the wheel) are not an issue.
