Wiper motor removal

My son and I are dismantling our '73 Mach. Does anyone have some helpful tips for removing the wiper motor and arm assembly? There is an unusual clip on the end of the motor where the assembly attaches. I'd rather not mangle it with a pair of pliers or screwdriver. Would appreciate any advice so we can continue stripping the cowl area. Thanks

They remove rather easily but it is hard to describe. The clip goes into a slot in the pin. Carefully lift the part of the clip that covers the end of the pin. Slide the clip toward the open end of the clip where there is a hole that will fit over the end of the pin. I hope that was not too confusing.
