Hey Y'all. PS pressure hose had a hole and was showering the exhaust manifold in fluid creating quite a dramatic display of smoke.

Pulled the pump and cleaned her up and replacing both hoses with parts from NPD. The pressure hose from NPD looks different with a different pump side fitting. Pretty sure it is not correct.

First off the fitting on new hose is fixed to hose end, doesn't swivel... second, the flaring looks wrong.

1971 Mach, production date 2/12/71. H code, 351c.

NPD hose 3A719-15a

Insights appreciated!

I tried connecting the end of new hose directly to the pump, I didn't realize there was an extension fitting. In my defense, there was about 4 inches of accumulated grime covering the fitting so it appeared to be all one piece.

That extension has been mistakenly discarded by more than a few. No repops for it and it's not easy to duplicate. So, I'd say you're one of the smart ones, not dumb ones :)
