Power steering hose pain

Hey Y'all. PS pressure hose had a hole and was showering the exhaust manifold in fluid creating quite a dramatic display of smoke.

Pulled the pump and cleaned her up and replacing both hoses with parts from NPD. The pressure hose from NPD looks different with a different pump side fitting. Pretty sure it is not correct.

First off the fitting on new hose is fixed to hose end, doesn't swivel... second, the flaring looks wrong.

i agree the new fitting is different then the orig one.. but why did u say u were dumb ???? did u find the fix.

I tried connecting the end of new hose directly to the pump, I didn't realize there was an extension fitting. In my defense, there was about 4 inches of accumulated grime covering the fitting so it appeared to be all one piece.

That extension has been mistakenly discarded by more than a few. No repops for it and it's not easy to duplicate. So, I'd say you're one of the smart ones, not dumb ones
