Transmission cooling line_Fittings

Spent the weekend putting the entire drive-train back together and came to a halt. I was trying to replace the cooling lines and fitting just spun the damn line and tore it up. (Yes i used the special hex tool and still...) The whole brass fitting and the threaded coupling male from the lines are now fused...Does anyone know where i can purchase the correct brass fittings for the FMX? I already tried CJ and Dallas and they don't carry it niether does any local parts store. I've emailed classictbird for PN#359325S (Fig.B) no response yet. if anyone has any insight I'd appreciate it.

I believe the fittings are 1/8" npt x 5/16" inverted flare. I got mine at my local hardware store.

This might help

C3AZ-7D174-A is a check valve to keep the converter from draining back into the pan causing leaks and other issues.

359324S shows in the MPC as 5/16 inverted flare (1/4"-28) x 1/2"-20 straight thread, but 5/16 require a 1/2"-20 thread. Not sure if it's a misprint, or another fitting screws into it.  

If the tranny has been changed out, it could also be the 87972-S which is - 5/16 inverted flare (1/2"-20) x 1/8"-27 NPT. Best bet is to get the fittings loose from the lines and measure them.

C3AZ-7D174 is the expansion valve that I've been looking for for a hot minute; who sells it!?!?!?! I keep running into the littlest issues that just aren't reproduced anymore.

Used is probably your only option. You could check with the couple vendors we have here on the forum Don @OMS and Mike @Motorcity Mustang

If you ever get the size figured out you might try welding suppliers, the check valves for gas welding come in a couple of sizes. In line check valves are available, you should be able to find plain adapters without check valves at hydraulic hose suppliers and Graingers and other fitting suppliers.

1/4-28 is the thread for fitting into case , the 5/16 inverted flare !/@-20 is the fitting for the line into the fitting

 Great news!!! I was able to salvage the  inline check valve wasnt easy removing the stripped fitting that was attached but with a file i was able to remake the hex edges and off came off the old transmission cooling line; used a tap and die to clean up the threads and back in she went. Thank you all again for the help.
