As some of you may recall, my '73 Grande is currently at a "Restoration" shop for some minor body work and paint.

I went to "visit" it today and noticed a BEAUTIFUL red (white top) 1973 Convertible. This car is CLEAN - - has a white/black interior, 351 4V (original H code), and C6. Right off, I noticed the owner had gone to an Aluminum intake, aftermarket carburetor and had Motorsport valve covers.

I inquired as to the car's status and was told it was for sale with an asking price of $14,000. I do not need another car but this one is just about perfect. If anyone is interested, let me know and I will pass on the particulars.

We already have a 71 mach 1 and a 72 Coupe...a 73 Vert would really round the collection off! LOL, It's a little too much and too far for me though!

Any photos? :D

"I do not need another car but"

BT

How many mustangs do you have ? If you know the answer to this question, you do not have enough.

Don

If it were a bit cheaper, I might think about it, but I really don't care for convertibles. :p

Actually, it make me think that I got a pretty good deal when I got mine for 5K. We'll see.

Doc the wise guy

You are correct, Don - - I only have three Mustangs; guess I need to have another talk with the First Lady!

...and Doc, when I saw that car my thoughts IMMEDIATELY went to you and your "dislike" for convertibles:).

The car really is nice. It is my understanding that it is was "restored" a couple of years ago and has been on the show circuit. At any rate, I plan on posting up pictures on Monday.

Looks like somebody needs to go back to the Christmas thread and change his list.:)

BT, you could tell the first lady it is for her!

Don

Don,

I already tried that when I got the Grande...her reply was/is "You know I like BIG luxury cars." Her current car is a 2010 Lincoln MKT; the three prior to that were all Lincoln Towncar.

To me, it is FUNNY because she is a relative small 5'4" Filipina/American BUT she loves the BIG cars...oh Well, at least I do not have any issues with her relative to "MY" hobbies:)!

As promised, attached are pictures of the convertible.

Wow! That looks pretty nice! I wish I could...but I can't! :(

FWIW, I got the impression that the "owner" might be open to other offers.

I have not spoken to him/her as I am talking with the owner of the Restoration shop.

If anyone is interested, let me know and I will get the particulars to you.

Yeah, very sweet looking.

It has guages but no tach. Is that a factory option?
Apparently so as my '73 Grande had the same configuration when I purchased it from a previous owner. According to my "Marti Report", it is apparently the 'Instrumentation Group" option. Forever the Modifier, I replaced my "idiot lights" with the tachometer (along with additional rewiring) from another '73 Mach 1.
