Take a look at my build pictures in the project build threads. I'm building a 72 Mach I with a coyote and 6R80 in it. It is running an moving on it's own power. About ready to go back to the body shop to finish the paint.

That is the route I went on my 72. I have seen pictures of them in 71-73 with the schock towers in place but it looked tighter than I wanted. I also wanted aftermarket coil over suspenssion and rack and pinion steering.

Shock towers will be notched out and steel plates welded in to make room. A front suspension kit will replace the original which will also relocate the steering linkage. Not sure about whether the brake booster will have to be replaced. Yes. I will post more photos as this progresses.

A friend and also a member here, is putting a Coyote motor in a convertible. He's not much for posting, doesn't have time, but I've seen the progress. He is reinforcing the frame as well as shock towers etc. I've not been to see it lately, but it certainly is not a "drop in" conversion.

Thanks. Doing the same with the frame rails.

I don't think a brake booster will fit unless the engine is moved forward quite a bit.
