351 C OIL PAN REPLACEMENT

I hate leaks. had the Main seal replaced, that leak is now repaired. Now the Oil Pan may need to be replaced. I've read that the Dynacorn 351C is a good choice. Any advice.

What's wrong with your factory pan? Is it something that can't be repaired?
I'd take an original one with a couple dings and/or a couple spots patched over a chinesium reproduction.

If I was gonna replace it with something new production, I say may as well go with one of those oversized racecar ones.

Milodon makes a nice stock replacement pan. Good quality and Made In The USA.

Dynacorn says, made in USA???, I don't care for and had bad experiences with parts made China, usually holes off by a hair, but enough to cause a problem. The Pan leaks, I'm not in a position to do that kind of work, no space. I trusty my mechanic (also has a Mustang), He feels the pan is bent (warped) and not sure he can correct it and stop the leak, maybe we will have to give it a try. Thanks for your input.

I actually have the Milodon pan on the engine that came with the car. The previous owner had it put on because they couldn't get the stock pan to stop leaking. Had no issues with leaks while it was in the car.

I didn't have good luck sealing oil pans with just the gasket as others here. I have installed and reinstalled several oil pans and they all have leaked after a period of time. The current one I did it with Black Permatex and so far so good. It is definitely more work to remove and clean up though. The Permatex is more forgiving and takes care of any undulations on the oil pan lip.
If interested, you can see I am selling a non-stock oil pan in the Classified section. However, this is a more expensive and performance oriented pan than the Dynacorn.

I recommend you avoid the stop leak. The products for oil leaks have solvents that soften and swell up the rubber gaskets....they may end up ruining or shortening the life of your front cover and rear main seals.

I installed a Canton Racing 7 quart pan on my 393 Stroker Cleveland. it has a squared off sump but it fits without any problems. You would need to get the pickup tube as well. Its a bit pricey but I've had zero problems with it.
