Im sure many folks have seen this on You Tube? Possibly many have not? So I thought it was a good video for all.

The never built 1971 boss 302 mach 1. Real or not?  good story though.

Im sure this will bring many a critic review :)

Enjoy

It was built, but only one. Car sold on eBay about ten years ago, I seriously should have sucked it up and bought it at the time, but chickened out.

There was actually two but never found the one that was ran on the test track. I have a car magazine with pictures of the Boss 302 for 1971. They did not even change the lettering to 351 for the magazine test. The hood is also not painted with the normal Boss layout it is like a normal hood black out would be.

I doubt it is a million dollars. Our friendly expensive parts guy in Wisconsin has NOS exhaust systems for the Boss 302 for 71. I think I have watched the video but will go look.

Yep that is video I had seen before. The magazine I have is different from the one they had. I posted about it long ago will go back and see if it is still here. I wiped some out at one time I was out of space.

Another rare one lost is the 1969 or 70 Boss 429 Mid Engine with a C-6 automatic they made one for testing and did not show handling improvements so they dropped. It has not been found could have been crushed. Ford crushed most prototypes.

When I was working with John Deere in Horicon WI. I was by the expensive parts guys place near Madison WI. I never stopped.

Yes he is Bob Perkins.  And obviously he now owns the car.
