1971 Rear Sping Color?

I just got new leaf springs and they came painted semi-gloss black.

Anyone know if that's the color they came from Ford?

Or were they grey metal color?

Mine are too rusty to tell.

They did not come black from Ford I believe they where phosphate coated...If your looking for a painted factory match the closest would be either one of these products..

Springs natural, phosphate

keep in mind it is spring steel, it is way darker than nornal steel parts.

bolts are natural

flat washers are zinc plated

nuts are zinc plated / red dichromate
