@Jim:

What a nice surprise - you spent over 9 years in the "Schwobaländle" and you come every year back for a little while? Very cool! Yes, that "Schwäbisch" can rub off on your painstakingly trainend "Hochdeutsch", hahaha :D Cool story of the failed Defense Language Institute, I like it :D

I drive every day to Stuttgart, Bad Cannstatt, for work and there I have a few friends.

Perhaps we could meet each other once if you were in Germany the next time, so you could see my Stang in reality! You are heartily invited to us ::welcome::

@Tim

Hey "doppelganger" ;) cool, another Tim, with another Gold Glow :heart: Very very nice, I see, oh yeah! You have the original small Vinyl-Top, too! Thank you for the warm welcome and the appreciation :)

I like this community board by now!

Happy greetings,

Tim

Welcome from TriCities, WA. Nice ride.

Tim,

We usually visit Germany in March or April, I'll shoot you a pm once we have a date set and if it works out we can meet up next year, that would be great.

Let me know too. Maybe we can arrange a small gathering of euro Mustang nuts.

Howdy from Augschburg. Another Southerner here. Half "Schwab half Bavarian ;) I have the same car! Not a T5 but a Export Mustang Mach 1 Q code 4 Speed ;)

Glad u will get rid of that gay wheels and color. Seems 80% of all american classics in Germany ride on thoses 4x4 el cheapo crap wheels. gold and Magnums rule!!

See this thread for my Stang:

Hahaha, cool :D

Nice to meet you here! I saw that car in your post a few days ago so you have bought it now? Is it in your hands now? What's your resumee?

Yes, I'm glad too - here is a picture which shows his future look exactly how I want it:

Must only find a good painter in the south, that give him his original shine back...

Cheers

Tim

Yes it is in my hands for quite a while, it is really unbelieveable original exept for the paint. The floors are really rust free! No welding was done. But I have too many projects and other cars that I have bought, so I have to let it go. A guy who has a Pantera wants the engine, but I don't want this to be parted out. I need somebody who really apreciates a cool and rare car like that. But most people are so stupid. If u know somebody. 8k will take it, which is very fair!

A friend of mine has a paint shop. He paints a lot of old cars.

Oh, that's too bad you had to let him go... Sounds like a really good base!

I will keep that in mind, if somebody wants to have such a good project car! I will ask a little around...

So you friend is experienced by doing something like I plan to do with mine - stripping the outer bodywork, sanding and paintwork? I am searching on some good adresses at the moment for the winter half to let this do from an experienced painter. Depending from my new garage which I am looking for at the moment I could do some pre-work like stripping the hoods, bumbers etc. maybe. But sanding and preparing for paintwork I would entrust the pro...

Cheers

Tim

Looks fantastic!

Welcome aboard from SE Michigan..

Yes, he is good. He is also into old american cars. Just call him and say hi from Johnny and tell him that u need the right color for 73 Mustang and what else u need. Cheers
