When I was racing NHRA Stock Eliminator with my "88 5.0 Mustang I found this company who makes crank scrapers. You can get a single piece version or a Teflon equipped scraper. I used the Teflon model to get as much oil off the crank & rods as possible. It definitely benefited my engine in a couple ways. It unlocked some power. It also return more oil back into the pan sooner. I asked Kevin of Ishihara-Johnson Crank Scrapers if he made them for 351 Clevelands. I was surprised he hadn't. So I worked with him to develop the patterns using my 351C engine build which had the crank and rods installed.
The 351C Scrapers (1 metal & 2 piece Teflon) are now available. Check out his website at crank-scrapers.com. Take the time to read some of the tech stuff. It might open your eyes about oil control.
