I know the 390 is not a typical engine discussed amongst the group here, but you never know if someone has something lying on a shelf. Thought I would throw this one out there and see if I have any luck. Looking for this application for my 67. PM me with any luck or recommendations. Already scoured the usuals like Summit/Jegs etc...

Blue Thunder 4150. Makes a little more power than the RPM AND it looks period correct, very much like a MR 427. Used one last year on an all aluminum 462 FE. Just my opinion at this point as the car was wrecked before he got it to a chassis dynamometer. Call Barry at Survival Motor Sports in Michigan. Jay Brown wrote a book on FE intake manifold comparisons using his dynamometer. Chuck

I have a new performer FE out of box that I bought for my build and went a different direction. Let me know if interested.

Looked at the Blue Thunders on the FE Forum. Price is a little steeper than I can afford for what reads to be close performance numbers. The headers are where I spent the farm.

Racer X: thank you for the lead on the Performer. My studying leads me to beleive the Performer RPM will be the better route for me.

I just went in the garage and looked at it, mine is the Performer RPM version.

Still has the plastic wrap on it.
