IMG_9130.JPGHey buddy. Sorry my computer overlay skills aren't any good but I kinda see two of the original three sections on your ride. I notice that most of the killer cars with your design shape have much smaller lights. I love the cars with tiny tail lights. Gt40, Lola t70, Porsche 917k Daytona coupe ...... I really like that your sticking to the stock tail lights but maybe cut it down a third. Just my two cents.

Yes your right, I've been looking at the pics. The lights look massive, lol, I like your concept. It makes the car look even wider. I will make a temp bezel prototype to show how it affects the lights from where they are now asap . The bezel will downsize the light but leave it in its in its original configuration. Thanks much for the input and pic flipping.

My 11 year old gear head granddaughter told me today ,while checking out progress, that the tail lights remind her of Anime, lol for those of you not familiar with Anime she is a cartoon character with huge oversized eyes. Funny !!!

Maybe some curves. I personally like the curves but I'd section the curved tail lights in 3. I know, goes against what I just suggested only I think the curves allows for more latitude.

Now you got me playing. Lol
Wow, look how much your photo shop skills have improved in just a few hours, lol ! That's impressive. If only it were that easy to apply these in real life. That's a good looking rendition sort of contemporary. I never messed with photo shop so don't have a clue but can see that would be fun and useful.

No kidding. On my computer it's copy and paste. Not so easy in reality. This might be a good time to throw out my cruel saying: "BE HAPPY, IT COULD ALWAYS BE WORSE. IT COULD BE HAPPENING TO ME INSTEAD OF YOU" lol.

Thanks , I'm roughed in at 180, ready to shoot primer. Will begin construction of the dash next week . A similar design to the 71 pantera is my goal. Will post pics of that as it progresses. Leaving the final desision about tail lights till later. While not aiming to rile the ford guys, a pair of 51 Pontiac roundies on each side is something I will be trying out for size. Keep in mind that the first ford GT 40 to run lemans in the 60s was fitted with lights from a corvair

That dash is gonna take a lot of patient metal fabbing to pull off. I'm up for it it'll be fun. Let's see where it goes. Probably would be easier to do in fiberglass if I did fiberglass but metal for me. Those pont tail lights are available in led.

IMG_9210.PNGI agree with the small round lights. Too many cool cars are rocking that look.

IMG_9219.PNGHow about these bad boys? I really like them. Always did. Kinda like the size and shape of Pantera light and with a center reverse light like 71 Stang. $50 on eBay. 74 Chevelle. Yes I know but that's Hot Rodding. Led them and I think you've got something sweet.
