May be purchasing a 1971 302 Convertible
Previously:
1979 Cobra 4 Cyl Turbo, 1971 302 Sports Roof , 1993 LX 5.0
I want to replace the stock exhaust on my 1971 Convertible (302/C4) with full length headers and dual exhaust. Right now I'm looking on summit and I'm considering the Hooker Competition or Hedman headers. When I look for the rest of the exhaust, all I get is the Summit package. There is only one review, and it's a complaint about the system not fitting correctly. I'd like to get a recommendation on this upgrade. I'm already adding a 4bbl performer intake/carb, and the old exhaust pipes are cut out of the car...so it is definitely getting replaced. My goal is some added performance with a nice sound that isn't too obnoxious. So
Headers?
Mufflers?
H or X Pipe, or no need?
Is there a drop in system or do I need a shop to custom build it?

Thanks!
