Don, can you tell me what the difference is between early and late trunk lids is? I never knew there were two different ones. Good to know.

Early lids - you had to reach inside to put the lock retainer clip on the lock

Later - retainer clip goes in the slot from the outside bottom of the trunk lid, then gets 2 rivets to hold it on

There was a third one too - it has stamped flat spots for where Ford was going to use trunk lid bumpers.
