Solid or hydraulic roller? If you keep the lift just under .600 you could use a solid flat tappet, not fight hydraulic roller lifter pump up, have more useable RPM, and save a considerable amount of money to spend somewhere else on the car. With power brakes vacuum is an issue (as is modulator vacuum) to consider. But is easier to live with a higher idle speed with the four speed. For a SFT something like 232/240 @.050, .570/.590 110 LSA for the gusto or 112 LSA for more manifold vacuum. peak power should occur about 6750 RPM. Shift at 7000 and hold on. Chuck
