Took the screen off an old filter at work fairly stiff screen not like window screen.

Could also use the screen from an old car air filter. Spray paint it black, voila.

I also have no ram air, but left the scoops open, with screens in them. I think it looks great, and as someone said, gives a little more cool airflow on the highway.
