He stated that Edsel Ford the II was there 1969 to see what all they were working on. You will see them open the back window on a Mach 1 that has a Boss 429 mid engine. I bet that one would be worth a fortune if you found it. Lots of other performance cars there also.

I found this article about the mid engine boss. They say it might still be out there. Some say it was stolen and just disappeared.

The statement that all Boss 429 were 4 speed was also wrong the mid engine had a C-6 with a special transfer case. They said it was dropped because there was no performance increase with the mid engine and IRS configuration, humm.

I turned down one of the Ford prototypes in the mid 80's the King Cobra Torino for $3,500 if I remember correct. Jerry Mason had it his dad worked for Bud Moore in Spartanburg and probably got it free. It now has a boss 9 in it but I was told it only and a 429 when at Moore's shop. Still here local but I think 1 million is asking price now.

Do keep an eye out you might find it.
