My Car
72 Mach 1
So, I went to Advanced Auto Parts the other day looking for some type F trans fluid for my Mach 1. Walked in not expecting to find any, counterman says "we've got some right there by the door, on the clearance shelf", (me)"Cool".

So I walk over and it is marked down to 4.49 quart originally $8 a quart(it's Valvoline) so I grabbed a few and went to the counter. Counterman rings it up and begins to laugh... I look at the screen and my total was 17 cents. Appearantly the fluid is being discontinued by Valvoline and they just wanted it out of the store, so they were selling it for 5 cents a qaurt. Needless to say, I bought them out and had 2 more cases transferred from another store. Total bought, 32 quarts... Total spent with tax, $1.70, BEST DEAL EVER!!!

I'd get that leak fixed.

LOL, Doesn't have much of a leak, it just sits alot and tends to lose some fluid over time. Reason i bought so much is because I'll use it. I've got another FMX that I'm going to put in the Mach so I'll need the fluid for that, I also have a 1960 Thunderbird that needs a pan gasket so I'll need it for that. I also use Type F in my '79 F250 that I take to the sand dunes. The truck has a C6 and actually calls for DEX III, but it shifts a lot firmer and faster with the type F.
