Hey guys,

So the new engine is in. Just a little unsure on something. I removed the old stall converter then installed the new one and ensure all fit ok. However when I then removed the new stall converter to give it a final look over the spline cam out of the gearbox with it. Is this an issue?

It slid back in and clicked all in place ok but just not sure if that’s ok?

Cheers

It will be fine as long as it went in all the way. Always spin your converter as you slide it on the splines and make sure it clunks into position. Easy way to be sure is to check for a touch of play when you bolt converter to flywheel. Should be a little play in stud holes and not bound up. Don’t use the bell housing bolts to pull the trans tight to the block. It should slide together . If you bind it up and try to start it, you wipe out the pump quickly.

No issue whatsoever . That's normal and sounds like you got it back in ok
Great. Thank you. Yeh seemed to all slide back in to position well.
