No antenna mounting holes?
Nope still have an antenna. Hint: technically this modification isn't legal for a street car...

I think 1 or 2 members had problems with the billet hood hinges. The hood would stick up in the back and not set flush with the fenders. I'm not sure of what brand they were.
Hmm. My boss has hinges from these guys on his car and we did another car with them too, so far they have been nothing but the best quality.

where they 71-73s? I think there was 2 problems The 2nd was they would not hold the Mach 1 hood up for long. I could be wrong about these hinges.

I think It was Roy ( Tnfastbk ) that had the problem with the hinges.

It was TNfastack..Nothing but problems with those hinges..Could not get them to work..I think that was about a year ago...He sent them back..Glad I didn't buy a set..Instead I had my stock o.e.m. hinges rebuilt..Made everything line up beautiful & they work flawless ! Going to send them out for powder coating...

Oh, no side markers. Very cool makes the fender look very clean, nice work.
Looks nice with no side markers. Are you removing them from the rear as well? I had a '95 GT that I had removed the side markers front/rear and the 3rd brake light. Everyone noticed "something" was different but nobody ever figured it out.

Thanks, yep I'm taking them off the back too. The main reason I did it was to work with the stripe I'm doing.

Nice.. Either way, it gives it a very clean look. If I had the skills, I would also remove the drip rails.

Update:

Last week I got a bunch of parts in. I got the hinges and gas filler and they both look good. I haven't gotten the chance to try out the hinges because the hood is at the shop, but the gas filler fits well.

Also sandblasted the hood, welded in new patches and started bodywork,

Tomorrow I'll put the passenger side suspension in and hopefully finish the bodywork on the hood.

Very cool man..I love them red stangs too....And what a good way to jump start your late teen years...With some good old handy work...And a car to be proud of and call your own.

Thanks everyone. I got the hood almost ready for primer today, just need to do a little more sanding. Hopefully I'll have completed pictures of the suspension by tomorrow.

And yesterday and today I stripped the rest of the car. I decided to just do it by hand because blasting it would make too much of a mess.

Looks nice..You work quick! I have about 7 days of plastic work just on my fender door otr...& I still need to lay a coat of icing on..A little late but I showed in one of my vids how to fit the hood scoops by heating with a propane torch & using a spoon small hammer to reshape get them to fit flush..

IMGP0318_zps7b539ab5.jpg

I also power washed the engine bay because I will be paining it orange.

IMGP0327_zps7ee96da7.jpg

I ordered a new rear valence with the cut outs for the exhaust, but the fit was horrible, so I cut out the circles and welded them to my old valance.
