I got the car in primer today!!!

Pictures taken with my Ipod, so quality isn't great,but you get the Idea.

In the booth all masked up.

Wont have primered pictures until probably monday.

Paint! I finished prepping the engine bay and jams today, so next came the exciting part.

First I used sealer on the engine bay and jams.

Then we mixed up the paint and started spraying.

Into the engine bay.

Done with the base coat, on to the clear!

All done! I couldn't be more excited about the results, its awesome to see it start taking shape!

Got It painted today!

Ive been super busy so I haven't been able to update so I'll catch you up.

Fenders and doors hung and engine bay put back together.

In the booth.

The first color

After the third coat of base. This particular color is pretty transparent, so it takes lots of coats to get full coverage.

Base coat done, now masking off the stripe.

Put a bag over it then cut out the stripes and tape it off.

Trunk blackout masked

Sprayed the black. We put a very little orange metallic in the black that only will show up in certain light.

Now for the fun part, the clear.

Now, this may sound crazy, but the car will be all put back together and in the Eugene Roadster Show this saturday.

Finally remembered to post some finished pictures from the car show, here it is.

It looks better in person, so I'll try to get some better outdoor pictures soon.

Thanks, that means a lot. Yours is one of my favorite verts lux. I love the stance, that's one of my next projects, along with interior, and sound and exhaust, and... Who am I kidding, I'm not done.
