Its not bad...But one thing always makes me cringe on every 1971-73 articles...When they talk about the weight with out looking it up..

"The new Mustang was hardly recognizable next to the original version. Like almost all cars of the day it grew longer, lower, and especially wider and heavier"

Every article states that...But they fail to state it was lighter than the pervious 69 and 70 mach 1 mustangs...They always say it ballooned and got heavier..It didnt get heavier....I think the idea that our cars are heavy boats is one of the reasons it didn't take off as an American icon that it should be....But i do guess the false information keeps the prices low..lol

I still say that if "our" cars didn't have the Mustang name and if it wasn't for federal regs and gas/insurance costs, they would have been one of the most popular muscle cars of all time.
How True. I bought a set of license plate frames that read

"1971 Mustang". Got tired of people saying "that's a cool looking

car, what is it?" Some people call it a Cougar and some call it a '72.

It really confuses them when you fire up the quench Cleveland in a

Grande'.

I've had quite a few people mistake my car for an AMC Javelin
