#When replacing the door hinge pins, Do you have to remove the hinge or is it done on the car?

Any tips or advise would be appreciated::shrug::

Alex

To keep from loosing the adjustment put masking tape around the hinge to mark the location. Take only one hinge off at a time that way you won't have to worry about the door or wires if you have power windows or speakers. Keep a support under the door at all times to prevent bending the other hinge. During adjustment at the factory they do sometimes bend the hinges to align the body. Do them one at a time and swap them out and it will be great. If you need to adjust the bolts in the door are for in and out and the bolts on the "A" post are for up and down and fore and aft.

Sound advice, guys. ::thumb::

But for extra bonus points, look into a total hinge pin upgrade.

This kit from Mustang Steve will eliminate the need to ever rebuild those hinges again.

I got the DIY kit and did my own (I had a welder at my disposal, though). Works like a champ and should never need new bushings.

After the hinges are done, what am I looking at to adjust the door? Any tips?

When I did mine the adjustment was off a little. I discovered access to the hinges, with the "door closed", behind the plastic panel inside the wheel well. You have to remove the wheel though. Used plastic shims and worked it till it was right....j
