ford fmx trans rear main seal and identification help

I need help with my fmx trans. I pulled it out of 72 Mustang. Every rear tailshaft seal from the local parts stores is too small.

ID tag on the trans is PHA H2 D2ZHAG13B

Is this from a 72 Mustang or do Pep Boys, Advanced and Auto Zone have the wrong part listed?

The PHA-H2 tag corresponds to a 72 mustang with a 302...

Right. What it came out of. But seems I have an FMX from another car or the local parts stores all have it wrong.


Has anyone purchased a rear tail shaft seal and have a part number for it?


Ok I figured it out. All the parts stores have the C4 rear seal listed for the FMX. FMX is same as C6. Correct part number for National brand is part # 7300S.

So anyone else out there need a rear seal might better ask for C6 seal if you go to Pep, Advanced or the zone.
