Let's hope it never requires more than one of those coupons for a gallon. How I long for the days of $1.25 a gallon...
I forget those existed. Man, I don't know what I'd do with all my leftover cash if fuel costed $1.25... Lol, who am I kidding, I'd go buy a bunch of stuff to put on the mustang to suck down more fuel.

I remember leaded gas for .55 cents of course i was ten and was cutting lawns at the time to make some extra money by the time i had my license i think it was around $1.00
Yeah I remember if/when someone would pay you five bucks for mowing their yard you was rollin in the money. Mowing yards are a lost art for kids today

Roy, I'm younger than you and I remember $0.89 gas in south Georgia!
hmmm maybe thats why you remember:D

Ditto. It was 89 cents in 87 when I turned 16in east TN. My buddies and I pulled our resources to fill up my 65 so we could cruise around for a couple of hours with the top down. Good times!

I remember 20 cents a litre when I was 16 back in 1980 so roughly 80 cents a gallon. Lol I remember we would put 5 $ of gas in the car and cruise around all night.

I remember pooling cash to go cruising. The 89 cents for me was in 1998, actually. I was TDY to Norfolk, VA at a Navy school and was driving down to my ship in Jacksonville, FL. Filled up just north of the Florida/Georgia border. I couldn't believe the price. In Jacksonville gas was about $1.25.

Ok lets show our age.......................What is the cheapest you ever actually remember buying gas for?

.99 cents for me
$2.99 for me, it was about $4.29 when I first got my license, 8ish mpg buick regal and all.

I started driving in 78, and I remember that a gallon of regular gas, and a pack of smokes were both $0.55, then when I got my 69 428 Cobrajet Mach 1 (wish I still had that!) I think I was paying $0.79 for "Ethel", and got about 8 mpg!

Of course, I was working minimum wage for Hardee's making a whopping $2.90/hr!
