My fuel gauge is way off. Remember seeing an old treat to adjust gauge on empty tank, remove float assemble and add 5 gallons of gas. Bend float rod till reads 1/4 tank. Really?:dodgy: When I replaced the sending unit with new one and new tank, it came with a plastic float. Should I swap out plastic float with original tin float too?

I got a repop sender from a mustang vender cause my original died.

After a bit of use I have abt 1/4 tank when the gauge says empty.

It's a pain to change out/modify so I'll deal with it.

Bottom line is I can tell if it has fuel and the 'lil woman wont be pushing

the car to a fillin station!
