Grille finish 71-73

Standard grilles were argent, decor/Mach were black.

If the shiny plastic bothers you, I'd be inclined to have it sprayed in an automotive matte clear. I can honestly say the repop grille on my '71 is not shiny at all and it's a Carpenter part, but again, not a '73.

Might be worth it to inquire with a paint company about the correct prep to spray the grille.

MY NOS grill was no shiny at all.............

I did order a NOS grille a couple of weeks ago because I am not happy with the shiny appearance. Having the grille professionally painted is more expensive so I have bought a NOS which I managed to get for a good price. 

I can confirm that the NOS is not shiny and in my opinion a better choice. I probably have time next week to take some photo's for comparison!

The funny thing is I painted mine anyway. My wives car is not original and the painted finish looks great. The car is in my build thread.
