Header gaskets

I have a set of Hedman headers on my '73 Mach-1. With less than 5000 miles, they have started leaking pretty badly on the passenger side. Is there a header gasket that works better than others? I've heard of copper gaskets but haven't heard of anyone who has used them.

I've had pretty good luck with these on my hooker Super Comps.

On my hooker super comps I tried a few things, I forget what but I think copper was included. The only thing I got to work was genuine hooker gaskets.

But you don't have hookers.

If they started leaking after 5000 miles you probably had some bolts come loose. I use stage 8 header bolts, they work great.

I have always used copper header gaskets and collector gaskets on all my vehicles with headers. I like them alot and you can reuse them. Never had a leak or blowout. Definately reconmend them for any headers.
