about a couple of years ago. A local store carried the exact Hot Wheels copy of my car. I should have bought out the ones in the store because they were under two dollars. I bought one and a friend bought one and gave it to me. My grandson discovered how to use the hammer and smashed one of them flat. The other one got lost.

Many years ago, Johnny Lightning did a series of 24 Mustangs with the toys replicating actual cars. My '72 convertible was one of them! The photo on the blister card was one of the photos (shot by the late Jerry Heasley) that were used in my car's feature article in the September, 1997, issue of Mustang Monthly magazine. I have at least 3 of the JL's still in the blister pack and at least two loose. I keep one in the ash tray of my car and bring it out at car shows. We moved to a new house recently and I don't have all of my stuff unpacked yet, so I don't have access to the blister carded cars, but here's a picture of a loose one in one of my wall displays. The proportions are obviously unrealistic, typical of Johnny Lightning. But at least they did a replica of my actual car!

That's pretty cool, make sure when you've unpacked to post a pic of the blister pack here in this thread!

Pretty sure that Jerry Heasley isn't dead; he just posted a new video on his Youtube channel 4 hours ago and is responding to people in the comments section there.
