How do you get pictures to look like this??

... but now I'm getting to where I would like something with a higher resolution to have better images to work with... especially now that my car's almost done.

I purchased a Sony RX100 M2 a year and a half ago. It's a high end Point 'N Shoot and I love its performance and ease of use. Takes phenomenal pics. Gonna be awhile before I shop for another point 'n shoot. Biggest problem I usually encounter is the images are too large for most email and postings. So I have to re-size the image from 20MP to 3-4MP to send it or post it....

My wife is a photographer, she said the photographer used a bright remote flash to get that effect on top of photoshop. I really like that pic and may do the same this summer.

Interesting thread. I took a photo of my car as is and then pushed it outside in the light and used some of the technology that was discussed. The results are nothing short of amazing.
