I got to thinking about this today on my drive in to work. My 2012 GT/CS has 46,000ish miles on it. I've put every single one on there in the last year and seven months. That comes out to driving a little over 80 miles a day, every day.

My daily commute to work is 150 miles round trip, 1.5 hours going in, 2-2.5 hours coming out.

How about you guys? What are your driving habits like?

I have a company van 2011 Ford Transit, and I put 150-200 miles per day on it.

my wife has a 2010 Toyota Prius and she averages 470-550 per week, she delivers news papers with it 7 days a week. and we used it as the family car also.

The commute I have right now is not great. I have a little Mazda2 and I drive about 45-60 minutes to school. Which includes a new bridge that happens to be a toll bridge ($3 a day), they had to toll it to pay for it. Its the widest bridge in the world at ten lanes. Then when when I'm finally off the bridge it becomes gridlock until I manage to crawl my way to school where a $4.50 parking fee is waiting everyday.

That is horrible...I'm happy with my commute...I get up (when I want), walk a 100 feet to the shop, and get to work. Sometime after a long, hard day, that long walk is rough on a decrepit old fart like me though :p

Before I retired I was driving 98.5 miles a day round trip commute to work, plus any other errands trips etc added on to that! This was in Northern Virginia traffic commuting up next to the Pentagon so travel time varied quite a bit, but usually around 3 hours a day. As the other retirees have said it's not too far to get out of bed and walk to the garage or around the house to do chores! I use to fill up with gas about every 2 to 3 days, now once a month is more like it unless we take a weekend trip somewhere.

on a weekly basis between the dually and the excursion i do a total if 300 or so miles a week but my longest commute was 2,506 miles each way ... that was a long trip with the cruse control not working

I don't think it's fair to call it a commute at that point!

11 miles from driveway to parking lot M-F. 10.5 to the Auto Hobby Shop from the driveway on the weekends. Probably 5-6 miles for incidental trips here and there almost daily.

Add that to a trip to SLC, 2 trips to DFW, 2 to San Antonio, 1 to Wichita Falls, and 1 to Austin, and I STILL only have 126,000 on my '97 Ram that I bought showing 24K in 1999. (My driving the Ram diminished somewhat when I had the Honda for 3.5 years... but not THAT much)

Hey Auron, that's not a commute... that's a full-on Road Trip. rofl

About a year and half ago when I got my new job I was traveling around 200-225 miles round trip. Now I got put at another jobsite permanently and luckily it's only 18 miles from my house. So 36 miles round trip a day. And if I drive the mustang that usually takes over a quarter tank.
