- 1971 Mustang Convertible, factory 302, disc brakes and A/C. Started to rebuild it all original but elected to go full tilt and rebuilt everything in the drivetrain, a/c, cooling, etc. etc. etc.
Do you know what offset or backspacing they are?I went with American Racing Torque Thrust II rims 16 x 7 front and rear with Goodyear Eagle GT tires (225/55R16) and paid $1288.69 for the whole package from TireRack.com, mounted balanced and shipped to my door.
Give them a call they were great. They beat the snot out of all local suppliers.
I'll let you know tomorrow for sure, I have my Mustang build book at work with all the receipts and specifications, but I think it is 4 1/2". I was going with 8" wide rims but there might have been some clearance issues with the front control arms so to be safe I ordered the 7" wide.
Update 11-28-2012, I checked and the invoice indicates that they are 4.5" backspace on my rims.
