What are planning on doing with the car? $8700.00 seems a little steep if you're just driving around on the street.
It is a bit steep..It's why I'm "toying" with it But lets face it, to buy a used motor than build it up is going to be at least 4-5 large..A decent crate motor is at least 4-6..I'm sure that 8700 could be negotiated a bit & I haven't really shopped around yet..Just 2 possible ways to go & I'm not saying I'm buying the motor from them..I would like to be able to tear my ride a new a-hole upon demand plus I need lots of wow factor to match the caliber of everything else that this car will be brought to.

Is the $8700.00 turn key or do you have to buy everthing to hang on it? ie intake, carb, water pump etc.

Good idea on not destroying a numbers matching engine

I will be pulling the engine soon to do some freshening up as well as some cleaning up of the engine bay.. The first pic is a little bit older than the second, but the second is horrible quality. The car isn't really together in either one lol.. but its "together" now and drives. Im kind of embarrassed to post these, but oh well.

Here's my M-code engine & toploader combo.
You need to find a car to put that in.

Talk to Don.

I have several it could go in. The problem is deciding which one. It'll probably go in my 71 M code since that is the one I'm fixing up as "my" car. Ultimately we want to have 4 fixed up Mach 1s, 1 for me and 1 each for my 3 boys. My signature shows we have some extras tho. :D
Some people only have to worry about what color tie to wear today. You have to choose what classic Mustang you want to drive. Tough life :p

I'd need a tow truck to pull me in them first. That would be cool though after they are all fixed up. I only have one that is somewhat drivable at the moment.

I've heard of them but never actually seen one, the tri-power intake for the 351C.

You all have nice engines and compartments, I feel kind of ashamed of mine. I cleaned the engine all up and painted it nice but I didn't do anything to the crusty engine compartment. This is right after I got it installed, I still did not have everything hooked up at the time.

It is a stock 5.8 out of a 97 F250, I just took off all the fuel injection stuff and put on a four barrel intake headers and front sump pan. It runs pretty good, but the trans now needs rebuilt.

Don't be ashamed, just keep it going one step at a time. Make improvements as you have time and budget. It takes time to turn an old car into your dream car. Alot of clean-up can be done with the engine in place but since the trans needs to come out it is sometimes easier to pull the engine and trans together.

How true ! For those of you that missed it, I did post a video up of how to do just that ..Detail with the enginge in place It's how we did my camaro..It was good enough to take first place out of 80 cars at the last show !
