Time to do synchros on my 4 speed Mach 1. I’ve noticed a boot under the shifter covering the linkage when it meets the shifter. What is that part called and do they repo them. Thanks for your help.

To my knowledge this item is not being reproduced for the 71-73 chassis.

I think the '70 part is reproduced, but the 69-70 shifter opening is a different shape so that part will not exactly mate up to the 71-73 shifter hole.

I could also use a new one of these. Hopefully someone has an answer.

Are you rebuilding the transmission yourself? Ive been looking for more rebuild resources, materials and parts lists for rebuilding the Top Loader.

As far as I know, the 71-73 did NOT have a lower boot. I know my 72 didn't nor did my current 71, but of course that could have been removed by a PO.
I do know the 70 doesn't fit, I tried that.
