I found an early build 71 M code sports roof roller today. Missing the original drive train but it is the most solid fastback I have looked at in a long time.
The only drawback was the dealer installed vinyl roof caused some roof issues but I do not think it needs a complete roof transplant.
The rails, boxes, cowls, floors, trunk drops, inner and outer wheel houses, quarters, and tail light panels are freaking perfect.
Needs a drivers door or door skin and the drivers fender has a small dink right on the body line. Under the battery is a fist sized whole (of course) but that is it for rust in the engine compartment.
Just a plain Jane fastback, but the buck tag is there, and it has a clear title.
Someone even put in roll up quarter windows.
(It also has the rear hood and rear fender trim that I and other threw away in the past.)
He is asking 3K but someone could get it for 2K - I told him I would post it here and see if anyone is interested.
Nice kid but knows nothing about cars.
