Here's a bunch of pics of the 71 mach1 for sale. It looks good but not all original and the price. I think it has been repainted. Single stage paint. The chrome around the back glass doesn't fit quite right. It looked like there might be bondo around the back of quarter windows. Argent paint on the inside of the quarters I'm not sure is stock. Mildew on the seats(should clean up).Trans lines have been spliced with rubber hose and trans is leaking around the linkage area.Holly carb on top of the spreadbore. I'm not sure if that would need a spacer to run right. Haven't heard it run. Battery is dead. 35987 miles. I'm going to assume 135987. The body and paint are almost perfect but the more I looked the more I saw wrong. I would buy this car but not for $18500. What do you guys think? There was some glare from the camera. Like the headliner and under the hood.

Not bad but I agree I wouldn't go 18,500.00 The car was definitely repainted & not that great it's as we say "commercially acceptable" Plan on replacing the interior..Guaranteed the mold is also behind the seat covers in the backing & padding..You will get it off but never get rid of the smell with out replacement..same for the headliner...As the car sits assuming it doesn't run I'd go 8000.00 max...If it runs ..tranny is good...brakes & susp are good..I'd start at 10,000.00 & go no more than 12,000.00 JMHO Looking at the pictures.

A few hours of elbow grease and some detailing would shine up this car nicely. However, it does have many issues others have mentioned and could either be fixed or the price should be adjusted accordingly. A common theme with these Muscle car type car dealers (not sure this is one of those) is they looks for cars that look good from 20 feet and they either do not see the flaws or just don't give a hoot about fixing them and just care about moving cars. If it's a private seller he should know better. Sellers fail to realize sometimes it's the little things that turn off potential buyers.

Based on the pics it looks like it would be a great driver to work on while fixing up the rough parts.

Even though we would all like the see the value of our 71/73's go up, I agree, the $18,500 is pretty high for the condition this one is in.

The body is in great shape. I'd like to take a refrigerator magnet wrapped in tissue paper to it because it's been repainted. I'm not sure if it's been wrecked or not. They haven't cleaned it up and the battery's dead. That's no way to get $18500 out of it. I think I'll check on it in about a month.
