After a Mustang holiday round trip with my wife and therefore a week-long struggling with the small opening of the trunk and our luggage I would call this: a good idea!
I saw this get posted and reposted a bunch on the facebook group. Some of the folks are saying it was an aftermarket kit that was available back in the 70s.
Makes sense. My dad was an auto glass guy. I watched him do more than a few aftermarket sunroofs.
I like the idea of it. Not a fan of the wide body wheel wells they did with it. Not sure if that is a requirement for the rest of the kit to work. If it were available today, I'm not sure I would go with it on an otherwise decent shape body. Our cars have become collectible enough that it feels bad cutting one up to do that.
