I've done a search but still can't find the info I need. I have a 351C 4V runs great with a mallory unilte distributor. Completely original factory tach, wiring harness, and coil. The Tach reads low, about 400 rpm at idle and only goes up to about 1700 rpm max. Been that way for years but I'd really like a tach. Any help would be appreciated. Hate to change out the distributor because the car runs so good. And that might not help anyway. I have lots of extra tachs but I don't think the tach is the problem. Should I try hooking a different tach directly to the coil, and if so how should I do that? Thanks!
