My Car
3 speed 302
So we have a 73 Mach1 that my wife bought new in June of that year, she drove it to work, hauled kid to school and just enjoyed it. We finally were able to get a second car so it got to sit and be used for fun things. Imagine though in south Florida a Mach1 with no ac no power steering and no power brakes! But we were a lot younger and stuff like that didn’t matter. Years go by and it’s never been painted but has had dents dings and minor damage in its 67k miles. I being a mechanic couldn’t help upgrading under the hood but engine and transmission are still Oem. Hopefully we can help others with information and knowledge. Looking forward to posting our Elite Marti report. She is for sure a different Mach1 unusually equipped as the Mart report says it is the only one on record equipped as she ordered it.

Yeah they are hard to see the lr quarter has a dent from inside trunk from a tuba sliding……left front fender was hit 3 time but I replaced it with a OEM one about 20 years ago, the drivers door is the biggest issue though when it was only one or two years old a fed ex driver backed into it, body shop pulled it out slapped some Bondo on it, held up about 15 years now it’s got the “crimpy” skin look! Like originally posted it has 67,000 on it but when she was driving kids to school and to work life likes to find you. Overall we don’t want to paint except the drivers door really stands out at cruises, people don’t realize how special our cars are to you all and us……

Here are a couple of shots that i found, working on finding the others :)
I see that your car has the dual exhaust outlets on the rear panel. Was that present when the car was new? The reason I ask is that my Mach 1 also has the same option but I’ve been told by several people at shows that the 73’s did not come from factory like that. I’ve had mine for 45 years now and I’ve always believed it was built that way. I’m really curious about yours.

I gotta ask....how did you manage to get a tuba in the trunk? I can't even get a cooler in there haha

Steve no I added the correct one withe the oem cut outs, our car was a single exhaust car. That’s the only body change we have done though!
