Sorry, I'm thinking you were told wrong. The markings on the side of every scoop in the picture are identical (regardless of size and location), and the shadows of the ones on the hood are also identical, to include the shadows matching each other from side to side, as well as the center scoop, along with the hood creases in the shadows that don't line up with the actual hood creases. There are also no 'extra' shadows to account for the rest of the stack on the center scoop. They're all copies of the real single scoop in the middle of the hood stacked on to make this horrendous picture.

I do think a scoop on the roof of the hardtop may give non AC drivers some extra “coolness”.

I suppose if the scoops are actually functional it is something I can live with - as long as it is somebody else's car. Personally, it is a little over the top for my tastes. But, it is someone else's vehicle. Whatever it takes to float the boat, eh?
