Of course no 71-73 article is complete without disparaging bone headed statements like this, "People knew the Ford Mustang Boss 302 was a goner, replaced by the tepid Mustang Boss 351."

They also failed to note that the actor is Sid Ceasar.

"de price???.... You foolee meee !!"

So funny they tried give them a European touch, while over here at the time 99.99999% of cars in similar price class (and way above) were no where near the looks, the options, size or the power these babies had. I recall the streets of Paris were full of asthmatic 303, 404 peugeots, Renault 12's, DS's, 2CV's...

Even when I got the grandé 15 years later, it was a clear contrast with what was polluting the French air at the time.

I liked the "That's a lot of backend! That is nice but this is better." Run that add today and the PC police would come after them. We were allowed to have a sense of humor then. Chuck
