My car is Blue/Argent, Where does the blue stop and the Argent begin, is it right on the body line? I have the chrome trim that goes there also.

In other words, where do I tape it off?

OK, looking at another car, maybe with the chrome trim the bottom don't get Argent?

I took a copy of this to my paint guy when he asked the same question. However, my car didn't have the chrome pieces along that body line. Try the following link to

The Sport Stripe Adds AppealUnless Its Crooked

From the June, 2001 issue of Mustang Monthly

If you check through the pics there are some close ups of the stripe and lower body paint line.

I know it doesn't answer your question re the chrome but hope it helps on the paint line.

The tape line should run through the center of the mounting holes for the molding. Here are some before and after shots of mine for detail around the door sills. The body shop was careful to match the original factory tape off areas, even around the tail light panels.

Your welcome! By the way, the round holes you see are not factory, those are holes drilled back in 1974 where I had the car rustproofed with the Ziebart Rustproofing system. They drilled holes all over and used special wands to spray into all the voids of the body, undercarriage, under hood, inside of trunk lid, etc. I can't say enough about how Ziebart protected my 73 from rust out all these years. Rubber plugs were put in the holes when they were through. The Ziebart sticker on the quarter window has survived all these years too.
