- 1972 Bright Lime green Mach 1. Has 351c 4v heads with Holley manifold and summit 650 cfm carb, power steering, Power disc front brakes, FMX 3 speed auto tranny, and A/C. The car sits on 17 inch Eleanor wheels with 225/45 front and 245/45 rear. Car is nice bust needs some love under the hood.
The distributor is a 3 wire system. Ready to learn, this might be why I feel like it is underpowered. Looking forward to following your lead totaled to get this right. I did read that the box has its own internal fuse so that might explain why the ballast resistor is not needed. So the ballast resistor is reducing voltage to ignition and essentially weakening spark?
I see you have 3.73 gearing and my car came with 2.75. 3.73 gives faster acceleration, correct?
One other question, cars battery is way smaller than the deck it sits on, does that have any impact other than starting? Does it impact alternator?
