1972 R code Mach1. Being resto moded.
Does anyone else notice that MANY, no all but MANY Internet companies out there simply do not answer their phones or return their emails????

I find it strange that you have to beg to get people to talk with you.

I mean really? We are in a Depression (thank you King Obama) and as a business owner I jump at the chance to do biz with people asking for my service or product.

Here I am resto modding a 72 with a budget exceeding $40,000 and I cant get people to return my emails or phone calls on IFS's or general questions on their products ???

Sorry for the rant but its VERY frustrating and surprising especially in a down turned economy that you must BEG companies to do biz with you....

I feel better now.

As terrible as this sounds - they apparenly do not 'need' your business to survive. They are meeting their own business projections/milestones and don't have to answer the phones or emails to do it. Guess they want you to 'order' and not ask questions. Sales with zero customer service.

Sure makes you wonder how they survive.

Good luck.

Ya know Lately here on the easy coast tri-state area I beg to differ about a recession..My observations in the last few weeks..Last week at the mall..took my daughter into a store called justice (girls clothes) Lines at the register ..Moms droping $$$ like water on over priced stuff...I'm talking 300.00 ,500.00, 650.00 Just the sales before our measly $35.00 ON Sale item..Cheese cake factory PACKED ..All the other restaurants PACKED..The entrie Mall parking lot filled..Was at Atlantic City this past weekend..Also packed to the gills...people spending $$$ Like water..Same thing when I was at telluride in Colorado...people dropping green like water..I always keep an eye on this stuff & like to people watch to get a pulse on local spending economy..You can tell a lot just by watching what people are buying spending..I've noticed too at the Car shows my friends shop..There's PLENTY of green being spent on that stuff..My friends shop is PACKED with big dollar resto jobs..So at least in the N.Y--N.J--CT area..There is no recession that I can see..I keep telling my wife.."What recession" From what I can see, there are plenty of company's doing quite well...

Same with non internet compaines...I use to deliver freight for a company that delivered car parts across WA state..i delivered everything Napa and all the local body shops in my area...Our freight company delivered too all the car quest ..Napa's and such for all of WA...Oregon.....We use to have cell phones so customers could call us on the roll and get ahold of us....In case something was destroyed or missing....But the new company i been told by my old customers...Took away all the workers cell phones...And gave them a office phone number...They told me they dont even anser much...And the person that does anser it...Only works during the afternoon...All deliervies are super early in the morning...lol...So people are losing customers and biz...Cause when they tell some one..Your part will be here tomarrow...And its not!! And you cant call anyone to find out what happend? What a joke...I think some of these new compaines ignor the problem and hope it just magicaly goes away...Or they just dont care much about the small auto part stores anymore or the regular people.....Cause i know for a fact..If car quest calls...they will asner for them..Cause its a big account...But for the local guy who runs a auto shop or napa...He is sh#t out of luck....I dont know why they are runing things this way...I dont know how any biz can.

I run a very small business, working only on weekends. I have an answering machine, and I always cringe when I have to play it back 3-4 times just to get the phone number right. A couple of times folks don't leave a number or the number I get is wrong. It bugs the crap out of me if I can't return a call.

What is it with a lack of customer service? I find it immensely satisfying to keep in touch with my customers throughout the process, and everyone seems to appreciate it. What does it take? A few moments? Jiminy Christmas...

I agree !! I have the same problem with people NOT leaving A CLEAR CONCISE message on my machine...Very few business's these days know how to service a customer correctly..I built my small biz from all the other business's out there who don't return calls ...Don't show when they say they will..I can't tell you how many customers have told me it's a pleasure to find someone who returns phone calls shows on time for a job! So let the slackers keep it up ..Just means more work for me..

I like folks that you agree to do business with, they put you on hold either in person or on the phone. You have to put them on hold for a moment ...and they hang up or sell your item to someone else. They expect you to wait for them either minutes or days.... but by golly wont wait on you.

As a 100% USA made manufacturer, I can ASSURE you we are in a deep recession. If you look at the people in malls buying ...(mostly women) Notice what they pay with.... CREDIT! NOT CASH... The same with our government... The dollar will collapse due to this by 2016. Mark my words. Like Equador in 2000. The US dollar will collapse.

This video is for all those that think otherwise. ENJOY!
