Question for guys who had their cars painted

I have a question for the painters out there:

Could the same paint semi-flat hood paint be used for the front and rear spoilers? or are they supposed to be actually "Flat"?

The rear spoiler can be painted with the same semi-gloss paint but it is supposed to have a "textured" finish. Basically maladjust the gun to yield very poor atomization to get a grainy surface. The front spoiler should be ABS plastic and likely will require self etching primer followed by a flexible primer, then top coat. The grain or texture is cast into the front spoiler. I'm not a pro painter, just relating my experience. Chuck
